Ventura serves approximately 740 students who live in multi-family dwellings. Ventura is a large school, which offers one way developmental Bilingual instruction and Title One services. We also have sheltered ESOL classes in every grade level. Approximately 61% of our students are from homes whose native language is Spanish. Our school qualifies as a Title One school since 84% of our students receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch.

Our staff of 106 consists of two administrators, 66 instructional employees, 28 non-instructional employees, 1 cafeteria manager and 6 cafeteria assistants. Most of our students come from single parent or dual income homes. The mobility rate at our school is approximately 79%. Parental involvement is low in our organizations like PTO and SAC, but parent participation at our school functions is very high. They support Ventura and their children when special events are held. We want our families to know they are always welcome here at school. We have an open door policy for all.
