Students
are not to come to the school or be dropped off at the school before 8:15
a.m. each morning. SUPERVISION IS NOT PROVIDED FOR STUDENTS ON CAMPUS before
8:15AM. or after 3:30 p.m. The school or the Orange
County School Board cannot be held liable for any harm that may befall a student
who arrives at school prior to this designated time of 8:15 a.m. or is not
picked up from school by 3:30 p.m. Students are to go directly to the door
of their classroom at 8:15 a.m., pick out a book from the book cart to read,
and wait in an orderly manner until the teacher invites them to enter the
classroom at 8:45 a.m. Any student who is not in his/her classroom by 8:45
a.m. will be marked as tardy. Parents
may escort their children to their waiting area only, and not into the classroom
without an appointment. The only exception to this is students who eat
breakfast in the cafeteria. Breakfast is served from 8:15 a.m. until 8:45
a.m. Students who come for breakfast are to go directly to the cafeteria.
These students must not arrive before 8: 15 a.m. because there is no supervision
for them.
Please
discuss with your child's teacher how you expect him/her to get home. If there
is a change in your standard routine, a note must be sent to your child's teacher.
IF A NOTE IS NOT RECEIVED BY THE TEACHER,
THE CHILD WILL BE SENT HOME THE REGULAR PRESCRIBED WAY. These arrangements
must be planned for ahead of time. Students
will not be permitted to use school phones to find out how they are supposed
to get home from school.
